The 18th Jewellery Arabia 2009 will recur from 17 to 21 November at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre under the patronage of HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minster of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Covering 18,000 sq. m. of exhibition space, Jewellery Arabia 2009 will host over 600 exhibitors from 30 nations including national pavilions Brazil, Greece, Hong Kong, India and Thailand and merchandise ranging from high-end jewellery to luxury timepieces and a wide range of precious stones and valuable gems. According to a recent Bain & Company study, demand for luxury goods in the Middle East is expected to rise 2percent in 2009 in contrast to a projected 10percent drop globally, stated Fawzi Al Shehabi, Director of Sales & Marketing, Arabian Exhibition Management, organizers of the Jewellery Arabia exhibition series. Jewellery Arabia has a solid track record of delivering quality trade and public buyers and is viewed by the industry as the gateway to this important market, he added.
