Tracy Harmoush: Fitness comes first

I am Lebanese/American. I was born and raised as a young child in Denver, Colorado before moving to Lebanon. I studied in Beirut all the way to University then moved to Dubai for my first job in finance. I spent 10 years in investment banking before leaving the industry just over a year ago to set up my own business.
I wanted to be in control of our biggest asset, time. I had an itch during my last 2 years in finance and felt I had a lot to offer outside of my role in investment banking, but I was restricted to my full-time job. Once I came up with a few solid ideas which I was passionate about and worked out a business plan that seemed sustainable and scalable, I took the plunge. I don’t feel it’s required, or even right for that matter, for someone to commit to the exact same career their entire life. It is necessary to test different skills or ideas you think you may have, and chase after opportunities that could bring them to life, as scary or uncomfortable as it may seem.
I’m an athlete and so I run workshops across the region where I teach body weight training and inversions. I also just set up a company, Untraceable. I won’t say much now until the official launch but it’s basically an extreme adventurer concept, for ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Aside from obvious, sports and adventure, I like things like soul, wit, and the wild.
Well athletics and adventure, two business lines that I’ve gotten into, and simply because that’s what lights up my soul. Watches are part of my life too, a simple but bulky ones make good companions. You may say masculine watches are more preferable and durable for my active and adventurous life style.
So, I usually opt for “accessory like” bracelets. I like to wear a few gold or silver subtle pieces together. That makes me usually very consistent and stick to the same ones, more or less. I also love to wear different size necklaces together, thin chains. For a formal event I would always choose diamonds, but again, a subtle look. Yes, a diamond earrings or a chain necklace with one diamond are enough. Nothing too bulky, but simple! You would be sure to see me in a Panerai watch and Jewellery from Bulgari What a combination!
Anyone that knows me knows my obsession with all animals. I’m nicknamed amongst friends “the animal whisperer”. This is why I have Pancho, “chicken” my smart bird that every one that follows me on instagram: @tracyharmoush know well. Pancho is so special it is a phenomenon. Pancho is so funny and witty and exceptionally clever and very emotional. I think of course we do have a special bond but Pancho’s equally as friendly when he meets a few of my friends who have a similar love for animals. He senses it so he is quickly drawn to that kind of character.
Life is full of challenges, and achieving goals makes it joyful. To me, I want to be on a large panel or a TedTalk a year from now, talking about hopefully a successful business that I run, and what it was like to flip my life around and grow it from scratch.
