12 Sep, 2018

Richemont on Monday named group veteran and Chief Operating Officer Jerome Lambert as chief executive officer, reintroducing a job role it scrapped a year and half ago.
The Lambert appointment comes about two years after Richemont’s controlling shareholder, Chairman Johann Rupert abolished the CEO position, saying he considered the company, whose brands include Montblanc pens, Chloe fashions and Purdey luxury shotguns, too big for one person to manage
Lambert, who held various positions in Richemont before his appointmentwill oversee the new online distributors, specialist watchmakers and Richemont’s basket of other businesses, including Alfred Dunhill, Azzedine Alaïa, Chloé, Montblanc and Peter Milla.
