UAE still a top-draw attraction for global brands

Despite the continuing weakness in retail spending activity, UAE still remains a top-draw attraction for brands, figuring 19th in their list of most favored destinations. In fact, UAE shares the ranking with 10 per cent of international retailers targeting an opening here with India, Canada, the Czech Republic and Malaysia, according to the latest forecasts by the real estate consultancy CBRE. In the first-half of this decade, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha were the most-go places for retail expansions, in earlier CBRE findings on retailer plans.
