Audemars Piguet has unveiled a new gem-set version of its 41 mm Royal Oak model encompassing both brilliant-cut diamonds and orange sapphires. In order to bring this model to fruition Audemars Piguet has utilised the know-how and talents of both craftspeople and watchmakers alike, perpetuating the Manufacture’s reputation for uncompromising craftsmanship.
The 18-carat pink gold diamond-set case features 138 brilliant-cut diamonds (〜2.62 carats). The matching bracelet is embellished with a further 472 brilliant-cut diamonds (〜4.62 carats). In addition, the dial incorporates 466 brilliant cut orange sapphires (〜3.18 carats), with 11 different shades from dark in the centre to pale near the periphery and a seamless transition in tone.
