Introduced this year, the Château de Môtiers 40 “Eurytides Marcellus” timepiece is the second luminous butterfly timepiece to be presented by BOVET. The Eurytides Marcellus also features the exclusive world first luminous hand-painting technique, an innovation that brings a new dimension to the decorative arts.
The new artisanal technique involves combining traditional miniature painting artistry with the layered application of luminescent material, meaning that the work painted by the artist on the dial’s surface becomes visible both by day and by night.
The Château de Môtiers 40 “Eurytides Marcellus” has a mother-of-pearl dial and portrays a zebra swallowtail Eurytides Marcellus butterfly sitting on a pink flower. The miniature painting is framed in a 40mm 18k red gold case and complemented with an alligator strap.
