Favre-Leuba celebrates launch of Raider Harpoon 42

Favre-Leuba unveiled the latest addition to its Raider Harpoon collection at a regional launch in Dubai this week. Hosted by Vijesh Rajan, CEO of Favre-Leuba, VIP guests, media, social influencers and friends of the brand were invited to Pierchic, a renowned seafood restaurant located at the end of the pier at the Jumeirah Al Qasr Hotel.
Inspired by the 1960’s Deep Blue dive model, the Raider Harpoon collection comes with a brand-new look. The purpose-built timepiece stands out for its bold colours and heritage barrel-shaped case. With a black central dial and hour display, as well as matt finish of the PVD gunmetal, the timepiece delivers a robust feel, while offering a more distinct and sharp style.
Powering the Harpoon is the patent pending, constant Automatic FL301 movement, designed on the Sellita SW200 caliber. The 42mm case comes with a screwed-down crown, helium valve, and thick sapphire crystal, to enable a water resistance rating of 30 bar / 300m.
The single minute hand and the co-rotating hour ring are an innovative method for displaying time, ensuring ease of reading during a dive. As the minutes tick away, the hours’ display on the co-rotating disc, which is visible on the edge of the dial, ensures high visibility even in the dark, through a blue emission bright display. Which means, with a swift glance at the watch, divers can sight both the minutes and hours from the one hand no matter the surrounding light conditions.
